In order to have an enrichment for our Conference we offer in addition to the parallel session two different possibilities to exchange experience and to get knowledge on Monday and Tuesday. We are organizing both activities via invited papers and not via Call for Papers.
The first possibility we chose is “A Track to Practitioners” in order to underline the practical relation to our conference. Therefore we are planning a roundtable with professional bodies. Furthermore we would like to have facilitated discussion of future trends in P&S practice and to ensure research meets practice.
Besides the practical part we will offer “A Track to Professional Academic Development”. This Professional Development Workshop will emphasize different research methods. There will be a session on publishing and a session on reviewing. Furthermore we are planning to have a session on ‘spinning plates’ for early career staff and a session on what makes for good PhD supervision. Finally the workshop will deal with a session on project planning your research for the next 5 years according to your aims.
